J.AND.C COSMETICS was born in Como thanks to Giada Mieli, third generation of silk entrepreneurs, after scientific research at the specific request of the European Community.
Since 1999, the properties of silk are no longer used only in clothing, but also in the world of cosmetics and beauty.

The only plant in the world in Como, able to extract from the best silk threads the Sericina Integra, recognized by an international study of researchers of the University of Tokyo as the “only effective remedy for skin regeneration”.

SERICIN AND ITS PROPERTY

Silk is a natural fiber produced from silkworm and is formed by two proteins: Fibroin, the classic silk thread that we all know, and Sericin.

Having Sericina integrates a great affinity towards keratin present in the skin and hair, it binds with it protecting it, prolonging its hydration and regenerating the damaged tissue.

The study of Tsubouchi K “et al”, showed that Sericin Integra contains a portion of molecule (Sericin M), capable of increasing cell growth by 250% over 72 hours: in the cosmetic field has therefore anti-wrinkle, moisturizing and film-forming properties.
