The GREEN PATH project is an initiative that was created in order to enhance the paths, protecting the environment around them.
Within the municipality of Montano Lucino there is the homonymous GREEN PATH which, starting from the inhabited center, winds through the coppices of the area for a total length of 12 km touching relevant environmental, landscape, historical and archaeological aspects of the area.
We want to tell you about this initiative because what could be better than a nice walk in the Green? A perfect opportunity to escape from the monotony and the greyness of the city.
An important GREEN help
It is important to remember that all this would not be possible without the essential help of a Youth Association entirely dedicated to GREEN!
The GESC – Gruppo Ecologico Studenti Comaschi – periodically performs small maintenance operations on the paths of the route in order to:
- preserve the woods and the paths that cross them
- prevent and report illegal landfills, landslides, fallen plants and hydrogeological risk
- prevent and intervene in the event of forest fires
