#BACOMANIA allows young and old to immerse themselves in the world of silkworms and mulberries, as well as deepening the textile history of our city.
The aim is to support the return of gelsibachiculture to Como, proposing fun activities to learn together!

The project is promoted and curated by the President of the cooperative Tikvà Francesca Paini, the agronomist and contact for local development Domenico Peluso and by Federico Raveglia who takes care of the economic sustainability of the partnership.

Wednesday 29 May 2019 at 17.30 at the Silk Museum (via Castelnuovo 9 – Como):
“Silk: feminine and singular. cosmetics, aesthetics and a touch of curiosity“.
Meeting with Amelia Cairoli, Ornella Gambarotto, Giada Mieli and Lucia Mantero in collaboration with Dee di Bellezza and Equipe Ornella; Beatrice Carbone, dancer of Teatro alla Scala in Milan will dance.
Monday 3 June 2019 at 17.30 at the Silk Museum (via Castelnuovo 9 – Como):
“Poor spinners! Life and work of women in spinning mills“.
Meeting with Elisa Bellato, anthropologist and curator of the Museo of silkworm in Vittorio Veneto – in collaboration with CGIL, Cisl, Uil and Acli Como.

Saturday 8 June 2019 at 15.00 at the Garden of the Silk Museum and square behind (via Castelnuovo 9 – Como):
“Feast of bugs“: games and workshops for children (row your cocoon, a bug for friend, selfie with the worm, bread and mulberry jam, bugs to be raised at home and much more!).

Every week some of the city’s chefs will offer customers mulberry dishes designed for #BACOMANIA.
