Lake Como is definitely one of the most popular Lakes and is known worldwide for its beauty and for its picturesque villages.
Popular retreat for the wealthy and aristocrats since Roman times, remains a privileged tourist destination, attracting tourists from all over the world, so much so that it was numbered as the most beautiful Lake in the world by the online newspaper “The Huffington Post” in 2014.

BRUNATE
The town of Brunate is situated just minutes from the city centre of Como, reachable by car, by bus, on foot or by funicular, opened in 1894.
Brunate has always been one of the most famous holiday destinations thanks to the good clean air and pleasant place that attract people looking for a better quality of life, surrounded by greenery but minutes from town.
A “balcony of the Alps”, so it is also called the town of Brunate, which in the days of clear skies you will come to admire the Apennines. The sights, scattered around the country, give strong emotions.
Among the best known are:
- il PIZ BELVEDERE from where you can contemplate the historic centre of Como and the first basin of the Lake is dominated by Villa Olmo.
- il FARO VOLTIANO 180 degree view embracing by the Alps to Milan – clearly visible the Pirelli Tower-and even to Piedmont and Liguria in the days when the sky is beautiful.

BARADELLO CASTEL
The Castle Baradello is situated on the hill overlooking the city of Como, closing on the southwest side the Chan. The entire original complex today you can admire the Romanesque square tower which dominates the Hill and is clearly visible from the town of Como, and the first walled enclosure.
From the pass, you can enjoy a magnificent view from the Lake to the city, from the Alps to the Po Valley to the Apennines. To reach it you can make a nice walk you can admire beautiful views surrounded by nature.

MONTE SAN PRIMO a BELLAGIO
The Monte San Primo is a few kilometers from Bellagio and is the highest mountain of the Larian Triangle. There are three ski lifts for a total of 5 km of ski slopes and a downhill for bobsled or sledging.
The summit can be reached in about 2-3 hours of walking, a fascinating excursion that does not present many difficulties.
From the top you can enjoy an incomparable view of Lake Como and the beautiful view will repay you with every effort: the look can range from 360 degrees from the nearby Lake Como to much of the Alpine arc. On clear days, the Apennines can be glimpsed southwards.

LANZO D’INTELVI
The Valle Intelvi, inhabited since prehistoric times and Romanesque, saw in the Middle Ages the flowering of numerous inhabited centers under the jurisdiction of the municipality of Como.
The fame of the valley remains linked to the work of the Masters Intelvesi, specialists in the field of construction, stone sculpture and stucco decorations, fresco and scagliola.
Starting from Argegno you cross several villages until you reach Lanzo and then the peak of Sighignola to enjoy the panorama of the “Balcony of Italy” on the Alps and on the underlying Lake Lugano. From the terrace you can admire a spectacular view in a westerly direction that goes from Ceresio to the Alps. The highest peak visible is that of Monte Rosa and the Matterhorn can be glimpsed.

PIGRA
Pigra is an Italian municipality in the province of Como. The inhabited area can be reached via the road that leads from Argegno along the Intelvi Valley or the cableway.
The village located near the mountain overlooks the lake in one of the most beautiful landscapes of Lake Como. In fact, the view ranges from the first basin to the Grigne group to the mountains of the upper lake.

CASTELLO DI VEZIO
In the center of Lake Como on the promontory overlooking Varenna stands the Castello di Vezio, an ancient military outpost of medieval origin erected to defend and control the lake and surrounding villages.
From the top of the main tower and from the garden you can enjoy a wide view of the lake. Being overhanging Varenna it allows in fact to admire the lake basin in all its splendor, cut from the peninsula of Bellagio into two branches: on the left the one of Lecco and frontally the branch of Como. You can also glimpse the Ossuccio peninsula with the tip of Balbianello.
