Well if you have not yet planned anything for the fateful day, if you want to spend this day with your sweet half differently than usual and you’re tired of the usual candlelit dinners, this article is for you!
\nPassing Valentine’s Day on Lake Como is undoubtedly an excellent idea, as the place offers always suggestive and exciting scenarios, at any time of the year.
\nThe villages that dot its banks are magnificent and many restaurants offer the opportunity to enjoy excellent dishes on terraces overlooking the lake.<\/p>\n

Among the countless wonders that offers Como and its lake we have selected some less known or popular, very intimate, to spend this day in peace with your own half.<\/p>\n

THE PESCALLO MOLO<\/h3>\n

Pescallo, a fraction of Bellagio, is an ancient village set between the green of the mountain and the blue of the lake, full of romantic corners to discover that offer wonderful views.<\/p>\n

The village, once known as a fishing village, offers today a picturesque landscape with historic houses, a beautiful marina and the numerous alleys that connect the village to Bellagio. With a walk of a few minutes in fact, through a staircase that crosses the promontory surrounded by nature you can get in the center of Bellagio.<\/p>\n

Very nice are the port and the pier that costs the intimate, for lovers of peace, with a crazy view of the lake.<\/p>\n

BEACH OF REZZONICO<\/h3>\n

Further north, on the western shore of the lake there is another small treasure: the village of Rezzonico. Known for its link with Pope Clement XII, whose family, the Della Torre, seems to have originated from here, Rezzonico is a village little known to tourists because of the absence of particular attractions such as museums, villas, palaces or boutiques and shops. Its beauty is in fact an end in itself.
\nDominating the houses of the village, which overlook the lake, is the castle, erected in the 10th century by the Della Torre di Rezzonico counts.
\nIn this pleasant place, however, there is a very secluded beach. It is a small pebble bay that can be reached by walking through the narrow streets of the village.<\/p>\n

A silent place perfect for a love escape away from the chaos of the city.<\/p>\n

VILLA BALBIANELLO<\/h3>\n

This splendid villa stands on the tip of the Lenno promontory in Tremezzina.
\nBuilt towards the end of the 18th century at the behest of Cardinal Angelo Maria Durini, it is an architectural complex including the Villa, the Loggia, the Library, the Primitive Hall, the Museum of expeditions and the magnificent park-garden.<\/p>\n

In the splendid terraced garden it is possible to follow the numerous avenues that wind through the park, alternating statues with wisteria and big plane trees and other different species of plants.
\nVilla Balbianello offers a rich artistic and historical heritage as well as being the location of numerous screenplays including: the second episode of the saga “Star Wars” (2002) and “Casino Royale” with James Bond.<\/p>\n

It is therefore the ideal place to spend a couple’s day.<\/p>\n

MENAGGIO<\/h3>\n

Menaggio is a small village that stands on the western shore on a small promontory where the lake reveals itself in all its majesty. The village offers countless walks of all lengths, in an exciting panoramic setting overlooking the lake.
\nThe center consists of a very nice square with the presence of restaurants or bars and numerous streets that wind through the town.
\nMenaggio is the perfect place for those who want to visit a very picturesque village or take a relaxing walk breathing the clean air of the lake.
\nAlong the pedestrian walkway there are numerous benches to stop and admire the landscape in all its beauty.<\/p>\n

THE PATH OF OLIVES<\/h3>\n

For more sporty couples, trekking and mountain lovers, we offer the famous “Sentiero degli Olivi”.<\/p>\n

On a steep slope that sometimes seems to plunge directly into the lake, there are several paths that cover the coast of Oliveto Lario.
\nWe signal the path 1 with which, starting from Onno it is possible to reach the locality La Madonnina. The stretch is not particularly long but has very steep sections.
\nA second path is number 14, with which, starting from Vassena, you can reach Magreglio, located at the foot of Monte San Primo.
\nAll paths offer unparalleled panoramic views, which will repay any effort.<\/p>\n

TOUR IN THE BOAT<\/h3>\n

An alternative idea could be to take a nice boat ride on Lake Como.In fact, there are several paths between which you can choose and each one really very beautiful, especially for the view that you have of the countries and that only from there you can have.
\nYou can decide whether to make a tour with or without stops of the various villages.
\nSome of these sections offer the possibility to have lunch on board the boat, while others have a bar service.
\nThis option could also be ideal in case of bad weather, since the boats are equipped with indoor space, and in this way everything will be even more picturesque and evocative.<\/p>\n
