The photographic exhibition that tells about our territory.

On September 30, 2018, the world’s largest photo contest “Wiki loves Monuments” was completed, promoted by the Wikimedia Foundation, which, in addition to managing the online encyclopedia, has the largest multimedia archive.

Italy, out of 56 participating countries, ranked second overall by number of shots and third by number of participants.

What is really surprising is that many of these shots concerned the city of Como and its province, so much so that it was decided to open a sub-section of the competition: “Wiki Loves lake Como”, in which to contain more than 500 photos, and an award ceremony to Social Theater.

The local competition has been promoted by Wikimedia Italia and Sentiero dei Sogni with the support of numerous partners including: La Provincia di Como, the Society Palchettisti Teatro Sociale di Como and the Museo della Seta di Como.

To let everyone know the beauty of these shots that enhance our territory, it was decided to expose some of the shots uploaded by users on the first floor of the Chamber of Commerce of Como.
