{"id":15947,"date":"2019-01-31T16:56:52","date_gmt":"2019-01-31T15:56:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.comolake.com\/alla-scoperta-di-torno-nesso-e-lezzeno-curiosita-e-attrazioni\/"},"modified":"2019-03-21T10:51:29","modified_gmt":"2019-03-21T09:51:29","slug":"discovering-torno-nesso-and-lezzeno-curiosity-and-sights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.comolake.com\/en\/discovering-torno-nesso-and-lezzeno-curiosity-and-sights\/","title":{"rendered":"Discovering Torno, Nesso and Lezzeno: curiosity and sights"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<em>The discovery of three of the most beautiful villages of the eastern shore of Lake Como.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Lake Como, also known as Lario, is full of picturesque hamlets that dot its shores.\u00a0Each of these places worth visiting at least once in order to seize the whole essence of this fascinating land.<\/p>\n<p>Among them there are three very striking that you must visit: Torno, Nesso and Lezzeno.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>TORNO<\/h3>\n<p>Located on a hill overlooking the first basin of Lake Como, back is not the first country that meets proceeding on the eastern shore, but deserves to be visited.<\/p>\n<p>Already inhabited in pre-Roman times, as evidenced by the traces were found of the Sacraments-stones dug for burial-the town of \u00a0Torno reached its peak only in the middle ages thanks to the textile activity.<\/p>\n<p>The old town is characterized by numerous narrow streets with the wonderful Church of Santa Tecla, a symbol of the way, overlooking the clear waters of the Lake.\u00a0There is also a lovely trip, from which sail boats and ferries with which you can reach the surrounding countries.<\/p>\n<p>With its idyllic atmosphere and the magical scenery, this village is perfect for anyone looking for an escape from the hectic city and want to spend a few days in tranquility and relaxation.<\/p>\n<p>Torno can be the perfect destination for sports lovers and for those who like trekking:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From the promontory behind the village, you can walk in paths where bump in the Sacraments.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">From the mule track you can reach the small village of Montepiatto, ideal for picnics and from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view. At a short distance you come across the Pietra Pendula, a boulder with a curious shape (we are waiting for some of your photos to enrich this article!).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.comoeilsuolago.it\/torno.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fonte<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Credit images: ShutterStock[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=&#8221;10&#8243; images=&#8221;15850,15852,15854&#8243; img_size=&#8221;900&#215;550&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>NESSO<\/h3>\n<p>The village of Como has Celtic origins and this people gave it the modern name of &#8220;Nesso&#8221;, which in Celtic means &#8220;mooring&#8221;.<br \/>\nA second current of thought holds that the term is linked to the Celtic divinity of the waters, whose name was precisely &#8220;Ness&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The town is located at the point where the two streams &#8211; the Tuf and the Nos\u00e8 &#8211; join and form a waterfall that takes the name of &#8220;Orrido di Nesso&#8221;, visible from Piazza Castello and the medieval bridge. This deep and picturesque natural gorge is a tourist attraction often visited and admired.<br \/>\nWorthy of note is also the Romanesque bridge of the Civera, also famous for being the location of some scenes of the first film by Alfred Hitchcock: &#8220;The labyrinth of passion&#8221; .<\/p>\n<p>This village is ideal for those who love nature and tranquility.<\/p>\n<p>From this village located in the middle of the mountains, streams and waterfalls it is possible to make some excursions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>walk along the ancient Regia road that connects the city of Como to Bellagio and leads to the Masera cave.<\/li>\n<li>From Nessus going up the valley, you reach the villages of Veleso and Zelbio, from which you can reach the Pian del Tivano, a wonderful and relaxing place especially in summer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.comoeilsuolago.it\/nesso.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fonte<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Credit images: ShutterStock[\/vc_column_text][vc_gallery interval=&#8221;10&#8243; images=&#8221;15856,15858,15860&#8243; img_size=&#8221;900&#215;550&#8243;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>LEZZENO<\/h3>\n<p>The village of Lezzeno, located a few kilometers from Bellagio, was inhabited since Roman times, as evidenced by the remains of tombs found in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Once in the village of Lezzeno you can admire the Sassi Grosgalli, cliffs with cliffs overlooking the lake.
